THE GRID
context.

Marrakesh Solar Shift begins on the generation side of the system. Strong solar output creates a concentrated midday energy window; the commercial and grid opportunity is to move a meaningful part of that energy beyond sunset.

Unlike Edinburgh's high-power congestion response or Nairobi's urban reserve thesis, this project is fundamentally an energy-shifting machine. The four-hour duration and larger 600 MWh energy volume are central to the design.

The challenge

The strongest solar hours arrive too early.

The solar curve peaks around midday while the target dispatch window sits later. The area between them is not a network-congestion event; it is a time-shifting opportunity.

MOVE THE SUN
by design.

Marrakesh Solar Shift is built around one dominant daily cycle: capture solar energy, hold it through the shoulder period and release it after sunset.
